The online public survey was launched on 20th August 2019, with an aim of capturing an accurate insight into what it’s like to live, work, visit and study in Andover, to uncover the qualities which make Andover special and your hopes for the future of the town centre.
The survey closed on 1st October 2019 with almost 3000 responses. Thank you to all that participated. You have provided valuable insight and knowledge which will help inform and shape the vision and masterplan for Andover town centre.

The team spent the morning talking with 25 students at Andover College talking about careers, urban design and how Andover Town Centre could be transformed in the future. Following a group discussion the students worked together to come up ideas as to how they would like to see the town centre transformed.

On September 23rd the team hosted a stakeholder visioning event at the Lights Theatre. Local businesses, creatives, community groups and councillors were invited to join us for an evening of idea generating, to help move the vision for Andover town centre forward.
Attendees were split in to working groups and tasked with producing their own vision for the town centre. At the end of the evening each group presented their thoughts.

On 23rd August, HemingwayDesign and NEW Masterplannning attended Andover’s Four Fun Fridays event. We spoke to residents and visitors of all ages about the town centre and asked what would make the town centre a better place to live, work and visit.

On the 21st of July the design team got into the spirit of things and attended Andover Carnival. We spent the day at Vigo Park alongside the Andover Vision Team talking with local residents and learning more about Andover. We asked people to tell us what they loved about Andover and what they thought could be improved. Below are some of the great suggestions you gave us. Thanks for your feedback.
